Εικονίζεται ο Χριστός νεκρός με το λευκό περίζωμα μέσα στο μνημείο να τον αγκαλιάζει η Θεοτόκος και να της παραστέκονται ο Ιωάννης Θεολόγος και άλλες μορφές της ευαγγελικής διήγησης. Πίσω ο σταυρός και δύο ιπτάμενοι άγγελοι και ψηλά η αγία Τριάς. Στις τέσσερις γωνίες οι ευαγγελιστές με τα σύμβολά τους. Πέριξ ελισσόμενος βλαστός.
